    Right now you are probably wondering why the word "BUM" was written next to my name on this website.  The truth is that I am a politician who was elected to government office under the idea that I would do everything in my power to assist you, the voter.  However, now that I am in office I have decided that I no longer wish to receive emails directly from you.  I know that sending me your opinion by email was fast, free and easy to use. However my staff and I obviously have more important things to do today than read all those emails.

   There are reasons that may not be obvious to you why I made the decision to close down my email address.  I'm sure you know that it would take a lot of my staff's time to actually read your opinion and those of people like you.  You understand that, but what you may not understand is that large groups of people try to write to me "all at the same time" asking me to support certain issues such as missing children, Medicare, abuse, the rising cost of medicine, health insurance, disability, senior citizens, etc...  Do you have any idea how frustrating it is to me when huge numbers of people write to me about a single issue?  It basically amounts to spamming my office and my staff simply doesn't have the time to listen to that many people saying the same thing over and over again.  Oh, and then there's the real spam, junk mail.  Yes, I know you get it too, and that we haven't done much to get rid of it, but still, I am an elected government official and I don't have time for it.  You may have to read thru all this garbage but I don't have time.

    If you want to contact me in the future you'll just have to call my office (Sorry, we don't want to waste the taxpapers money to provide you with a 1(800) number to call), send me a snail mail (Don't forget to include postage) or go to my website based mail (while you'e there you can read all about what a great person I am).  I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but I am elected government official and I simply don't have time to read this many emails from people like you.
