How To Change The World
By
BaddTeddy And The Knights of Kindness |
My entire life I dreamt
of doing the impossible by finding a way to help every person that I
met, plus people around the world I had never met, no matter what their
situation, and today, that dream came true!
My personal thanks to the members of the Knights of Kindness who made
my little boy's dreams come true.

Is there someone's life you would like to change?
Stop!
Before you read any further, take a minute
to think about each and every person you know and ask yourself
if there is something you wish you could do to help them.
.............................
Each and every one of us, at sometime or another, wish there was something
we could do to help someone else. Maybe it's a friend, a member
of our family, a co-worker, perhaps even a complete stranger.
We feel frustrated because 'we care', but don't have the time, money,
or resources to help. In fact, in most cases, what we really wish,
is that we had 'answers' to their questions. (Where do I?... How
Do I?.... Who should I contact?). In most situations, when
we find someone who needs help, we know that what they need the most
are 'answers' to questions, such as: 'Where should I go? What can I
do? Who should I contact?'
Let's face it, the real key to changing people's lives is being able
to provide them with the answers to their questions, but until now most
of us simply didn't know where to help them find the answers.
My life's dream of teaching people how to change the world is composed
of many parts, but the first, and perhaps the most important, was to
teach them 'where to go for answers,' 'who to contact' and 'what they
could do.' I wanted to figure out how to put all this information in
one central location, make it easy to access from anywhere in the world,
and most of all, to make it easy to read and understand. In other
words, creating a website where the answer to every person's questions
on how to change their lives could be found, and then teaching them
how to use it to change the lives of people they care about. Today,
I am going to teach you how to provide answers to almost every imaginable
question and I'm going to do it in less than five minutes.
Example:
Abuse
Let's say you know someone who is being abused and living in fear of
leaving because they might be stalked. You want to help, but they
are afraid and won't leave the situation until they know the answers
to: Whom should I contact, what can I do, and where can I go?
In this case, they might want to know what organizations to contact
(who), what they can do (how to stop the abuser), and where they can
go (a shelter for abuse victims). Do you know the answer to all
these questions off the top of your head? Maybe, but if you don't,
where could you find that information?
www.KnightsOfKindness.com
KnightsOfKindess.com
lists
abuse
agencies
(who
to contact),
abuse shelters
(where to go), advice on
how to put stalkers in jail
(what you can do) and much
more. In other words, you could change an abuse victim's life (maybe
even save it), by giving them the answer to most of their questions, and
which can be found at
KnightsofKindness.com.
Example:
Medical
/
Disability
Let's say that a member of your family encounters a medical problem or
disability. It changes their life. Now they live in fear.
They run into financial hardships. What they want most in the whole
world is 'information' (nothing is scarier than having a medical condition
and not understanding it or becoming disabled and not knowing how to contact
disability organizations for help). They want to know (where) they
can find the most current information in the world on their medical condition,
(what) they can do to help themselves and (whom to contact). They will
also want to know how they can pay for the medications?
Their situation is completely new to you. You want to help, you
feel it in your heart -- if only you had the answers -- but you don't.
Where can you find the answers to most of these questions? (Note: information
provided on websites should never replace the advice of your doctor).
KnightsOfKindness.com
KnightsOfKindness.com
lists
medical
and
disability
organizations
around the world. There is an entire section on
programs from drug manufacturers for free medications
for the indigent. Also included are support groups and so much more.
These websites, in turn, can help provide some of the most current information
in the world on almost any medical condition and/or question.
...............................
Rather than go thru examples one by one, I would like to teach how you,
an ordinary person, just in the course of your daily routine, can affect
(change) the lives of people all around you. I'll do this by simply
showing you how in just a short time I helped change the lives of
more than a dozen people. No magic, no money, and I'm definitely not superman.
..............................
My real name is Steven-Wesley Nunnally. When I turn off my computer
I am just an ordinary man. There is nothing really special about
me. I work as a waiter. I lead an ordinary life. I don't have any special
skills or talents that let me change people's lives, and I'm definitely
no genius. And yet, almost everyday, offline, out in the real world, I
help to change someone's life.
Last week was just like any other week. I went to the stores, I
went to work, I did the movie and dinner thing -- just the usual, just
like most of you -- and yet, in the course of my normal daily routines
I changed the lives of many people around me. So, what's my special
skill, what's my special capacity for changing lives, what do I know that
you don't? The answer is really so simple it's almost too simple
to believe.
I know where most people can find the answers to their questions.
KnightsOfKindness.com
For instance, I work as a waiter.
In the course of serving people dinner, I overhear many conversations
(I'm not an eavesdropper - as a waiter you can't help hearing people
talk). On Monday I overheard a woman asking her friend for advice
on how to leave her abusive husband, where to go, what to do, whom to
contact. I gave her the
KnightsOfKindness.com
website address
and told her it listed
abuse
organizations
around the country,
abuse
shelters
,
and had tutorials on
how
to put abusers/stalkers in jail
and that it listed the
laws of
every state in the US
concerning stalking.
In less than two minutes she went from an, "I'm afraid because
I don't know what to do" attitude, to, "Hey, maybe my children
and I can find safety after all".
Later that day I talked to a man who had been recently disabled.
He talked about how scary it was that he had been diagnosed with a debilitating
medical condition. But his doctor had described it in such scary terms
that the man didn't really understand what was wrong with him, or what
he could do to help himself. In addition, he had no idea where to turn
to find low-cost medical equipment, specialty items for the disabled
-- such as shower rails, etc., -- and he wasn't sure how he was going
to be able to afford his medications. He also had no idea how to apply
for disability from the government. The answer to every question
he asked me was on our website, so I gave him the URL to the
KnightsOfkindness.com
site, and explained
that most of the disability
organizations are listed on the website (where), that the website also listed many
medical
organizations that dealt with
his medical condition (whom), that there was a section on how to get
free
medications
from the manufacturers (how), and even a section on how to apply for
social
security/disability. In other words, the answer to every question he asked me was
listed on one website --
KnightsOfKindness.com.
Okay, I'm a waiter and maybe that's how I am able to find so many people
to help -- maybe that's right? Wrong! I find people to help without
looking, as I go through the normal course of life.
Tuesday I was at the store and I overheard a woman who was standing
in line at the store, say that her husband had recently died, that she
had three kids, and she had no idea where to go for financial help or
medical assistance for them, as she was working, but it wasn't enough
to pay the bills. In other words, the money was almost gone and
she didn't know where to go for help. I gave her the URL to the
KnightsOfKindness.com
site, and told her that
it had a section on public
assistance ,
another on how to lower
your bills
, a section on
free medications
from the manufacturers,
etc. Her expression went from downcast to determined.
You're still thinking, maybe you can change one or two lives, but that's
still not enough.
Wednesday I went to the store to rent a movie. I overheard one
of the clerks, a young man, talking about getting a new car so he would
be able to get a better job, (he evidently had to walk to this one)
so that he could eventually pay his way through college. He seemed
like a nice young man, fairly smart, trying to do the right thing, buy
the right car, trying to figure out how to lower his costs so he would
be able to afford college after the payments. But, he was quickly
finding (his own words), that most of the car salespeople he met with
were giving him the run-around or trying to rip him off. Knowing
that more people have their financial lives ruined by making a bad decision
on cars and credit cards than anything else, I gave him the URL to the
KnightsofKindness.com
site, and explained that there was a free book on how to buy
cars
on the
site, and that it included links to sites that listed the dealers cost
(invoice) etc. He could actually find the value for his trade-in,
what he should pay for the new car and be able to figure his payments
all by starting out at one website address. He took the advice
gratefully, said he hoped it would help him save enough money to be
able to go to college full-time instead of part-time and then of course
I mentioned that
KnightsofKindness.com
also has a section
on colleges/universities
and
scholarships.
You're still thinking that maybe he can do it, but maybe you can't.
Okay, lets says it's your turn. Maybe tomorrow you hear a friend
saying they wish they could find help for a drinking or other addiction
problem. They want help but they don't know where to start. Give
them the URL to the
KnightsOfKindness.com site. We
have an entire section on dealing with
addictions. Perhaps the day after
tomorrow you hear that someone in your family wants to go to college,
but they don't know where to look for scholarships. Give them
the URL to the
KnightsOfKindness.com site. We
have an entire section on education,
including home-schooling,
a listing of colleges
and universities, and yes, even how and where to apply for
scholarships.
Still not convinced? Maybe the day after tomorrow you hear someone
saying that they need legal help. They need to find the laws dealing
with _______, but they can't afford a lawyer. Give them the URL to the
KnightsOfKindness.com
site, and tell them to go to the section titled:
LAW. This section lists all kinds
of agencies from
police,
to the Attorney General's offices, the
FBI
and even the
Computer Crimes
Division in each state. It also has a link to GLIN,
which is an online database from the Library of Congress listing
every law in the free world.
How about you come home from work and find out that a member of your
family is having a tough time emotionally. You use your computer to
go to
KnightsOfKindness.com
and you look up emotions,
depression,
anxiety, etc... Or maybe they are having a
panic attack
so you look up breathing
exercises that can calm down a panic attack victim.
What about next week?
Maybe you decide that you want to try to change the world by fighting
for the rights of senior
citizens.
Knights of Kindness.com has a section
on
Government agencies that includes
the email addresses for
Senators, Governors
and even how to write a power
letter to effect political change. It even includes their
addresses in case you want to visit them in person. In fact, if you
do travel to talk to them there is a
travel section
that will show you how
to save money on
hotels,
airlines
and much more.
No matter what kind of advice you, a friend, a co-worker, or a member
of your family are looking for, the easiest place to start looking for
answers may be
KnightsOfkindness.com
What about right now? Can you help to change a life, or many lives right
now? Yes! Forward this tutorial on how to change lives
to everyone you know (it's like giving everyone you know free advice
on how to change their lives) and make this your good deed for the day.
You may be amazed at how many of them will be writing back to thank
you for helping them. You may really be amazed that each of these
people in turn, may forward this letter, and each of the people they
forward it to, will forward it until this letter reaches millions of
people on the Internet. And if it does, then you will have been
an important part of helping to change the lives of everyone on the
Internet by helping them answer the questions: Who, what, where and
how, when they needed help.
Help change the world by forwarding this letter about the world's largest
free library of information on how to help change lives.
