AMERICANS FOR FAIR DRUG PRICING

"LOWER DRUG PRICES"

For much too long, American Drug Companies have been getting away with overcharging American citizens. American Drug Companies sell medicines to people in Canada, Mexico and around the world at reasonable prices while charging Americans much higher prices here at home.

Overcharging by the American Drug Companies has forced many Americans with long-term illnesses, the disabled, children of those less prosperous, and many senior citizens to forgo the medications their doctors have prescribed for them, the result being pain, suffering and sometimes death.

The American Drug Companies have proved to the world that they don't care about the American people, that they are willing for U.S. citizens to suffer and die so that they can make larger profits.

We are asking you to join us in the fight against the greed of the drug companies in order to help stop the suffering of innocent victims.

SUGGESTED LETTER TO THE SENATORS

Dear Senator,

I am appalled that American Drug Companies are charging Americans more for American-made medicines than they do citizens of other countries, such as Canada and Mexico. I feel this is un-American, and causes needless pain and suffering for many American citizens. Therefore, I am asking you to sponsor a law stating that:

American Drug companies shall not charge higher prices for American-made medications than they charge for the same medications in other countries, such as Canada, with the exception of epidemics and emergencies.

                                                                           Thank You,

IS THE DRUG INDUSTRY HONEST?

Public Citizen - The Top 10 Drug Companies Made $36 Billion Last Year - More Than Half of All Profits Netted by Fortune 500 Companies ... The drug industry spares no effort to ensure that Congress does not encroach on its hefty profits and the high prescription prices that support them

Congressman Bart Stupak's  Home Page United Seniors Association: Partisan, Predatory and Paid for by PhRMA."  The United Seniors Association has announced a $3 million ad campaign, funded by the drug industry, intended to prop up the House GOP's band-aid prescription drug benefit. The timing of the ad coincides with the release of a GOP strategy to neutralize their weakness on the prescription drug issue. USA is an overtly partisan group masking itself as a grassroots organization. It has a long history of raising money through scare tactics targeted at seniors.
